Thank you for coming to visit! After a few years down, a revised version of Nocturnal Light is coming back online. It is work in progress as all of the stories have to be re-added, but slowly and surely, all stories previously available on Nocturnal Light will once again be published here. Note that as some stories were very long, they were broken down into several posts. Use the tag for the story to find all associated posts!
Buffy has just lost her mother, whom she has been estranged from for five years due to her mother’s marriage to a certain man by the name of Spike. Now, Buffy has returned home to bury her mother, face Spike, and the whole mess of demons returning home has unleashed. Spike, it appears, has his own demons to face, and Buffy may end up needing him more than she realizes.
Buffy is not the Chosen One, just a girl with powers. Spike is the one sworn to protect her. When she unknowingly breaks his heart, he claims her and she is not happy about it. Will she accept him or reject him?
Mid-season 5. Buffy needs a job, Spike’s interviewing. They spend a few hours together and discover how much they mean to each other. Vamp Spike, Slayer Buffy, but I’ve tweaked the universe just a little.
Post Season 4. The summer is over and school is starting soon, but Buffy can’t forget her summer.
Set at the end of Chosen. Spoilers up to Ep 5:8 of “Angel”. Buffy and Co stop in L.A. before going on to start the new Council and find the new Slayers. One new Slayer in L.A. is April Simms, who now has a special mission from Buffy. Will April find something worth bringing Buffy back to Los Angeles?
Post NFA. The battle is won, and now the survivors have to figure out how to move on. Spike saves a girl, Angel reconnects with Connor and Nina, and old friends come to town. They’ll all soon learn that every choice impacts the future.

Buffy deals with Spike being dead, and Spike, who’s alive, deals with having no memory of Buffy.
Sequel to ‘A New Life’. Post ‘Chosen’. Spike is back but doesn’t remember Buffy or the gang.
Set in season 4 – it’s a response to a Challenge. Buffy catches Spike in a compromising sort of position.
