Chapter 13

Chapter Notes: Hope no one minds a short interlude into Wesley and Cordelia’s love affair!! Because, uh…that’s what this is. ENJOY! Please, note the humor and tongue-and-cheekiness of this chapter.

~Two nights ago, after the demise of Parker Abrams at Saks Fifth Avenue, 8:20 p.m.~

“Are you sure?”

“I wouldn’t have offered if I didn’t think it made m’lady happy,” Wesley said, looking at his date.

“But these are $475,” Cordelia said, holding a pair of teal python-skin Fendi heels that she’d been drooling over since she saw them in Vogue last month. They fit perfectly, by the way, and made her calves look adorable! Yes, calves could look adorable. Anything could look adorable on Cordelia, which she said aloud as she tried them on in front of her date.

“I can read, thank you. If you want them so badly, I’ll get them for you.”

“You work at the video store.”

“And I told you it’s just for the free rentals. It’s good for a man to work, even if he doesn’t need the money.”

Cordelia was experiencing something very strange as she looked at the boy in front of her. He still had on that black turtleneck and she wondered if he wore them often and if so, if she could maybe one day talk him out of it and into something more stylish. But as her eyes traveled over him, as she held those damned amazing shoes in her hands, she felt something trembling inside her. Was it her heart? Oh, God, was she…no, it couldn’t be.

“I can’t pay you back,” she said slowly, quietly, in case admitting it out loud swayed his offer. However, she didn’t want him thinking this was merely a loaner. That kind of money didn’t just fall from the sky, not since her dad turned into a selfish loser who didn’t pay his taxes for the last ten years and could no longer afford her weekly shopping allowance. Digging through clearance racks with Buffy on the weekends was absolutely killing her soul, making her feel so middle-class. She’d absolutely die if she had to lower herself to pouting in front of strangers to get her way now.

Wesley looked offended, his face turning slack as he scoffed. “I would not ask you to pay me back, it is a gift.”

That trembling happened again. It had been happening since he agreed that their date take place at her favorite mall, without any hesitation. He even helped her pick things out, and seemed to be enjoying himself. Yes, that trembling was growing with every shopping bag she acquired that evening.

“But if you would rather we leave…” Wesley made to back away, his eyebrow quirked knowingly, a tease of a smile on his lips.

Cordelia grabbed a Saks employee as they walked past her. “I want these,” she said frantically, dropping the shoes on top of the employee’s already growing stack of shoe boxes that she was obviously carrying to the back room.

“Y-yes, ma’am,” the young girl said, balancing the load in her arms so they wouldn’t topple over.

Cordelia let out a happy sigh and linked her arm with Wesley’s as they walked to the check-out counter. “It’s like a full body massage when a girl wears Fendi.”

“You know,” Wesley said casually, leaning one elbow on the counter and inspecting his nails on the other hand. He slowly lifted his eyes to hers, having practiced this pose by watching plenty of James Bond movies. In what he hoped was a devilishly charming voice, he said, “If you ever want the real thing, I am quite the masseur.”

“You’re certainly putting the moves on thick, Mr. Wyndham-Price.” She wiggled closer to him, batting her eyelashes.

“I know at first you’ll take advantage of me,” he said, placing his fingers over her lips when she tried to speak. “Ah-ah, I’m not finished.”

Cordelia felt something very moist between her legs. She whimpered, and then he traced her lips with his thumb and smiled at her. Rich and domineering—and calling her on her little act? She might melt into a puddle in the middle of Saks by the Scotch Guard display if he continued to be so dashing.

“But you need me, don’t you?”

“What?”

God, Wesley couldn’t recognize his own voice. He’d channeled his inner Han and had him make out with his inner Pierce Brosnan for this one and by Jove, it was working! This fox of a girl was about to be ensnared by his evil plans to woo her into his lair.

“You need someone to take care of you. To be your, what’s the word…sugar daddy?” He waggled his eyebrows and placed one hand on her hip, smiling when she blushed. “It’s all right to want to be pampered, Cordelia. And it’s all right for me to enjoy doing it, to savor the rush of power it gives me.”

“You…enjoy…” She started panting, licking her lips as he drew incredibly close to her.

He was mere centimeters from her gorgeous pout of a mouth, his heart racing as he started to close his eyes. “Oh, yes. Anything to make you happy, my sweet.”

“Where have you been all my life?” Cordelia wrapped her arms around his neck, was seconds away from kissing the breath out of him, when the Saks Fifth Avenue employee cleared her throat.

“Please sign here, sir.”

He blinked, slightly flustered for a moment as he turned and grabbed the pen from the girl at the counter. He scribbled his name on the credit card print out, felt Cordelia rubbing against his side, and suddenly he couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

“Well, now that’s settled,” he said, puffing his chest out as he picked up Cordelia’s shopping bag. “Shall we?”

“Uh huh.” Their eyes burned into each other for a long, desperate moment, and then Wesley swung his hand hard and true like a driver at the golf course until it landed, open-palmed, on the swell of her glorious ass with a loud smack.

“Wesley!” she shouted abruptly in shock, her face bright red and her chest heaving. How dare he? How dare he turn her on in public!

He growled in her ear as he slung his arm around her shoulders and she almost swooned. “I saw you eyeing Dolce and Gabbana’s window,” he said lowly as they walked out of Saks. “I’ll buy you a dress if I can watch you try it on.”

“I never want this night to end!” she said dreamily, laying her head on his shoulder.

Wesley smiled confidently, holding her tightly against him as they walked along. He just might have regained his status as top dog.

Cordelia needed to clear her head. This man had completely swept her off her feet and she needed her best friend to remind her that he was a total nerd and she’d lost her damn mind. They were walking to his dorm room and she had a very good feeling that if she spent five minutes alone with him, she’d be done for. He’d treated her to dinner and shopping, and wanted to take her shopping again! The following day!

He’d figured her out in an instant, didn’t let anything slide, and it was rattling her nerves to be sorted out so easily by someone she at once had considered beneath her. While there were a few moments that his demeanor slipped into dork town with a few scientific and boring explanations of things, his confidence never dwindled. She found herself admiring that he didn’t seem to care what she thought about him, and if he did, he made no show of it.

But she noted, with much amusement, that he seemed to be put off and offended by the same things as she when they walked through the mall.

“God, that’s atrocious,” he’d said in a disgusted tone as they looked at the display window of Bebe.

“What, the overpriced club gear or the leather-faced stripper that just walked inside?”

He’d laughed a bit and said, “I was going to say the former looks like a Bedazzled hazard gone wrong but the latter definitely has its flaws in need of pointing out.”

“You talk pretty,” she’d said, resting her head on his shoulder once more. Was it wrong to love a man with a bitchy side? No. It wasn’t. It was heaven!

And this is exactly why she needed Buffy, or Cordelia would have her brand new $475 Fendis in the air while she let Mr. Summer-House-in-the-Hamptons ravish her naked body. Of course she’d leave the shoes on. He earned it.

Except that she didn’t know if he should earn it! Had he charmed his way into her panties? Would this make her a whore? Was this sating her Pretty Woman fantasies all too well?

“Perhaps you’d like that massage now?” Wesley said, wiggling his key into the lock of his dorm room and giving her an impish grin.

And perhaps she could wait until the next day to speak with Buffy.

* * *

Wesley had only just started his massage and already he was hard. Cordelia had been teasing him all evening. She had allowed him to watch her try on a dress but she had a few tricks up her sleeve. He saw a bit of thigh, a flash of a breast, but she’d dressed so quickly, so expertly, that she’d shown him hardly a thing. That only made him want her more, which of course was something she obviously knew from the deadly look in her eye.

Now she was almost naked on his bed, wearing only her panties and laying on her stomach. She’d expertly undressed without revealing anything this time as well, but he didn’t complain because now he was touching her.

“Mmm,” she cooed, rolling her back beneath his hands as he swept them down towards her ass.

“Such a hard day you’ve had,” he said teasingly. “All that walking around and shopping.”

“I know, my poor, poor legs.” She bent one leg behind her, pointing her toes flirtatiously as she winked at him over her shoulder.

He grabbed her ankle and started to knead the ball of her foot. “Are you sure you’re up for it tomorrow?”

God, just how much money did this guy have? “I’m always up for shopping. But I don’t want you to feel like you have to buy me things, Wesley. Except that I really like it when you buy me things.”

“I know I don’t have to. I call it an investment. The more money I spend, the more the percentage increases in my favor that you’ll fall madly in love with me.”

“I know I should be offended by that, but I’m just not.” She rolled over with lightning speed and got up on her knees. He was too distracted by the first sight of her full, naked breasts to notice that she’d started unbuttoning his jeans. “You haven’t lost respect for me, have you?”

“Heavens n-no,” he said in a shaky voice when she dragged the zipper down. “I wouldn’t think of it-ahhh Cordelia…” His eyes rolled into the back of his head when she wrapped her soft hand around his impossibly hard shaft and pulled it out of his jeans.

“I’ll never call you Daddy, though,” she said, stroking him slowly. “That’s a kink this girl just won’t get behind.”

“That’s a kink for people less fortunate than we are, my love,” he said, tucking her cropped hair behind her ears. He moaned once more when she squeezed him a bit harder. “It’s scandalous, for sure, but horribly lower-class.”

“Oh, Wesley.” She kissed him hard, groaning against his mouth when his hands came up to fondle her breasts. She added a swipe of her thumb to the motions on his cock, just as a small thank you for being the man of her dreams.

“Besides, my name sounds absolutely sinful on your lips,” he said, leaning forward to suck one of her rosy nipples into his mouth.

“Everything sounds sinful when you speak,” she said, giggling in pleasure when he nibbled on her nipples. Then something paramount struck her, something she hadn’t thought of until now. “You aren’t blowing all your money on me, are you?”

Wesley chuckled against her breasts, and lord, had he always wanted to do that! He could squeeze and lick and kiss them all day if she wanted him to. She could press them on either side of his face and suffocate him and he’d die happy. Oh, Cordelia’s breasts were a thing of beauty. He finally remembered that she’d asked him something.

“Perhaps I cannot treat you to such extravagant luxuries all the time, but I’m not concerned about running out of money. And you aren’t only here for my wallet, are you?”

“No,” she said, biting her lip and pumping his cock with her fervent hand. “This is pretty wonderful, too.”

“What, my cock?” He grinned roguishly.

“Shut up,” she said, swatting him on the shoulder with her free hand and blushing. When he started chuckling, she narrowed her eyes and glared at him. “You think you have me all figured out, don’t you?”

“Almost.”

She pushed him onto his back on his bed and he gasped, his eyes wide as he looked up at her in barely contained excitement.

“Think you’re the dom, huh?”

“The what?”

“Shut up, boy,” Cordelia said with a smile, feeling empowered and incredibly turned on when he started panting. “Think you’re man enough?”

“I’m certainly man enough.” He tried to get up on his elbows but she pushed him down once more.

She swallowed down the valley girl inside her that begged, pleaded, and implored her not to go there, to the land of Sci-Fi. But Wesley wasn’t going to be the only one who was so smart. She could play him, too.

“You think you’re man enough for a…cylon?”

Wesley’s eyes lowered with lust and adoration, his grin turning delicious as he looked up at her. “You can’t be that different than a woman, skin job,” he said, easily falling into the fantasy with her. “Worse, probably.”

She gasped in mock-offense. “You would dare tempt the fate of your fleet by challenging me?” A beat. “Do my cheekbones look all right?” She asked softly, lifting her chin and showing him the more photogenic side of her face.

“Lovely.” He smiled, then cleared his throat to get back into the fantasy. “Prove me wrong, then, and I’ll sign your treaty, clone.”

“You sign my treaty and you’ll be a slave to the cylons. Are you sure that is what you want?” She traced the underside of his cock with her fingernail, looking at him coquettishly.

“I’m confident that you won’t be successful in changing my mind,” he said, breathing quickly now as he watched her tease him.

“Your pride will be your undoing, human.” And then her mouth was on him, sucking him into her warm, wet mouth and Wesley almost started laughing in delight.

He placed one hand on the back of her head as it bobbed up and down over his cock, smiling at the ceiling. “Cordelia…”

“Mmph?” She looked up at him as she continued to swallow around his shaft.

“Don’t ever leave me.”

“Mmph-mmph,” she shook her head slightly, her eyes smiling, and then she moaned as she took him down to the hilt.

“I love college,” he whispered, linking his hands behind his head and smiling goofily at the girl transfixed with his manhood.

She was perfect for him, dammit. Perfect. Cordelia Chase was going to be his forever if he had any say in the matter. Even if it cost him thousands.
