The whole thing is Spike trying to get back to Sunnydale and Buffy thinking he’s dead. It’s filled with exotic places, tons of Original Characters, mysticism, enchantment, magic and love. It takes him years to find out who he is before he can find the one he loves.
Season 6, set right after Flooded, except that Angel never called Buffy. When Spike tries to help Buffy financially she decides to find out where he’s getting the money from.
Buffy’s already turned Spike away. But when her worst nightmare befalls her, she’s got nowhere else to turn than towards him.
Set in S6, a surprise request from Anya sends Buffy and Spike on a surreal quest, one that shows the Slayer just what her world has turned into, and what she needs to do to potentially fix it.
